Angie McCloskey
Host and author
Alcohol-free for more than a decade, and the author of the book this show grew out of.
Angie McCloskey's first drink was a peach wine cooler at sixteen. By her thirties she was raising two toddlers in Tampa and drinking two bottles of red wine a night, while her husband fought his own addiction. In August 2011 she found him dead of an overdose.
It took three rehabs and one Sunday afternoon on her sunroom floor, when a friend told her "I thought you would be dead by now," before she stopped for good. She has been alcohol-free for more than a decade.
After more than twenty years in sales, she lives near the Potomac with her partner and two dogs, and calls her grown kids her best friends. She wrote Virgins Don't Take Pregnancy Tests for the woman who's fine, until she's not. The show grew out of the book.
You're not broken. You're just done. And done is the best place to start.
